Go to your stock phone app
Tap on the contact menu
Pick a contact you wish to block
The last option on their page “Bock this caller”
You will be prompted with a conformation popup and then choose bock contact.
After doing this, you will not receive phone calls, messages or facebook from contact on the block list
Note- The block contact will not disappear, you can unblock it also by using same process.

The above method is for that contact’s who is on your contact list, but this method does not Block Unwanted or Spam Text Messages from Unknown number like spammers or advertising agencies who sent you different offers and skims for their products to your number.

Go to the Messages App
Tap on the message from the spanner
Choose details on the top right corner
There will be phone icon and a letter “I” icon across from the number. Tap on the “I” icon
Scroll down t the bottom of the page and then tap a “Bock this caller”. Again, press Bock this caller. The number that you just blocked won’t be able to make any call, Text messages you.
Block Text Messages on iPhone From Setting- 3rd Method
To apply unknown Text messages block setting you need to go setting app from your App browser
Click on Phone then click on Block option
Under the bock option you can see all added contact from blocked, to add new tap on Add new option and add those contact number which you don’t want to receive any calls and text messages.
Block Unwanted Text Messages on Iphone by Register Your Number with the National Do not Call Registry – 4th Method
This is another useful method to avoid unwanted text messages on your iphone, you need to register national do not call registry. Go to the site http://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx
Enter the required details and press submit
After submitting they send the verification mail to your register mail ID. So, verify your mail ID by clicking the verification link. That’s it, this should help combat spam text messages.
