In windows platform, viewing or showing hidden folder or files is more simple then other Operating System. You don’t need to any specific command or tools to show hidden files. In windows 7 there are two simpler methods to view hidden files or folders and they are listing in below tips.
To show hidden files, Open “My Computer” and then click on “Organize” (situated on upper left corner)
From drop down menu, Click on “Folder and search Option”
When you click on Folder and search option a new popup Window will open, In there, Click on “View” tab and under view Tab find “Advance setting”. Under “Advance Setting” you will see many option, find “Hidden File and Folder”, you will see option to show or don’t show hidden files. Just select “Show hidden Files, folders and drives and click on Ok.
That’s it, all hidden files and folders will now be shown and you can hide then again through go to same process
My Computer > Organize > Folder Option > View > Advance Setting > Hidden File and Folder > Don’t Show Hidden Files, Folders or Drives > Apply and OK

Access “Folder option” from Control Panel
You can also access Folder option from control panel and Show Hidden files and folders (this will work on windows 7, 8)
Click on Start and then Control Panel
In under control Panel, Click on “Appearance and Personalization”
From “Appearance and Personalization”, click on ‘Show hidden Files and Folders” and “Folder option”

Show hidden Files and Folders in OS X
In OS X, The terminal Application is the best ways to Show hidden files and folders in OS X. The terminal Application enables you to control Mac OS X Using UNIX Commands and show hidden Files and Folders.
Open terminal app by clicking on “Go” and then “Utilities” and from there launch the app
Copy given command and pest in the terminal and click enter
“defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES” and paste it in the terminal and hit enter
Copy second command “killall Finder” and pest in the terminal and click enter again
The second command is for relaunching the finder, so you could see the hidden files. If you can manually relaunching it, then there is no need for the second command.
Everything should relaunch and you should be able to see the hidden files on OS X.
After launch and see hidden files, If you wish to hide again files then just enter given command “defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO” in the terminal app and click enter.
How to Show Hidden Files and Folders in Android
As we know in Android there are thousands of android apps for every operation. In android play store there are some of file manager to show hidden files and folders. Here we are talking “Astro File Manager” to show hidden files.
First download Astro File Manager from Google play store
Open Astro File Manager app. The first tab locations will show your phone’s internal storage and external storage. Tap on any one of icon from which icon you want to find hidden files.
Now tap on the icon with three dots on top right and tap view setting
Scroll down and check show hidden files, now you will able to show hidden files
Whenever you want to hide these files again, just uncheck show hidden files option
