Dr. Jason Johnson

DR. JASON JOHNSON is Senior Politics Editor for Politic365.com and author of the new book Political Consultants and Campaigns: One Day to Sell. He is currently an Associate Professor of political science and communication at Hiram College in Northeast Ohio, and serves as Politics Editor for The Source magazine. Professor Johnson has extensive media and public speaking experience in topics ranging from pop culture to electoral politics.

Dr. Johnson has been active in politics for many years, making him a valuable guest or panelist in many venues. He has worked as a campaign manager and assistant state director in a series of legislative campaigns in South Carolina, Maryland and Virginia. Internationally, Johnson worked on the 2001 London mayoral race, and served as an international election observer during Mexico’s turbulent 2006 presidential election. In 2007, he was an honored guest of the Independent Electoral Commission in Johannesburg, South Africa during the parliamentary elections.

Professor Johnson is a graduate of the University of Virginia and received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina.
