Comey Testimony Brings in Over 19 Million TV Viewers

According to a report in TV By the Numbers, the testimony of former FBI Director James Comey scored blockbuster ratings.

Comey’s testimony, “averaged 18.2 million viewers across ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News and MSNBC. Add in HLN, Fox Business and Spanish-language coverage on Univision and Telemundo and the total rises to 19.49 million.”

The incredible number of viewers verifies a great deal of interest in the Russia story even though a main GOP talking point is that “real Americans” could care less.

All three broadcast networks covered Comey’s testimony live.

“ABC had the biggest total audience with 3.3 million people tuning in, just ahead of CBS’ 3.29 million. Fox News finished third with 3.1 million viewers, followed by CNN, 3.06 million; MSNBC, 2.74 million; and NBC, 2.72 million,” reported TV By the Numbers.
