GOP Obsessed with Killing Heath Care. Less than a day before what will likely become the third attempt to repeal health insurance for 20 million Americans, Republicans in the House are once again caught between doing the bidding of the Trump White House and their anti-Obamacare bloviating over eight years.
Republicans are paying no attention to the rate of the uninsured dropping after the Affordable Care Act became law. They are also paying no attention to bankruptcy filings dropping by 50 percent, from 1,536,799 in 2010 to 770,846 in 2016 as a result of the Affordable Care Act becoming law.
On Thursday they will once again try to repeal Obamacare with no CBO score, no final bill language and many members walking around saying they don’t know what is in the bill. But that’s legislating in the Trump era.
