Can you say “hypocrisy” over and again again? In what has to be one of the most deeply ironic acts of gaul in a while — even by the standards of inside the beltway politics — House Republicans may leave Obamacare provisions in the new version of their “health care” legislation.

In a move that would make even the kings of hypocrisy on Capitol Hill blush, House Republicans have written up a new version of the health care attempt

In their quest to make it easier for states to charge sick people much higher premiums than healthy ones, House Republicans have also included this, as reported by Vox:

“Republican legislators liked this policy well enough to offer it in a new amendment. They do not, however, seem to like it enough to have it apply to themselves and their staff. A spokesperson for Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.) who authored this amendment confirmed this was the case: members of Congress and their staff would get the guarantee of keeping these Obamacare regulations. Health law expert Tim Jost flagged me to this particular issue.”

On top of that, news is breaking that House Republicans plan to leave out payments for Obamacare from legislation to fund the government that must pass by midnight Friday to avoid the government shutdown.¬†Get lost in NFL draft news, that’s a much more fun topic than the latest attempts by House Republicans to take health care coverage from over 20 million Americans.
