Ben Carson does it again.  The man who has everyone wondering if surgeons are really all that smart has done it again.

In his first address to employees at the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, newly confirmed nominee Ben Carson said:

“There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land.”

They worked “even harder for less” alright, they worked for free enslaved for over 200 years.

Why Carson felt he needed to hold the fantasy coon time history hour at the Department of Housing and Urban Development is anyone else. But the marginalization of slavery has a familiar ring for Carson who once compared the health care law to slavery. Predictably, by the time Carson issued an apology on Monday evening he was lit up hot on social media.
