2017: Justin Fairfax Running fo Lt. Governor in Virginia

Virginia Statewide 2017. Justin Fairfax, a former prosecutor fro the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia will run for Lt. Governor of Virginia in 2017.  Fairfax came very close to defeating the current Attorney General in Virginia in 2013,

As first reported by the Washington Post, “the candidacy of Fairfax, 37, an African American, would inject diversity and an energetic style into a Democratic ticket that includes the comparatively low-key Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring.” Northam will be running for Governor as Herring runs again for Attorney General.

Fairfax was the Co-Chair for Sen. Mark Warner’s 2014 re-election campaign and is an attorney for the well known law firm, Venable.
