July 8-9: National Action Network to Hold First Annual Policy Forum on Capitol Hill

On July 8th and 9th, the National Action Network will hold their First Annual Policy Forum and Hill Day.  The event will take place on Capitol Hill in Washington.

According to a release from the National Action Network, the event will bring together National Action Network Chapter members as well as the group’s partners in the civil rights community.  The event will focus on several issues including criminal justice reform, voting rights, income inequality and immigration.

According to NAN, “the Policy Forum and Hill Day will allow National Action Network and our members the opportunity to address with their federal representatives issues that we are concerned about.”

Members of Congress who will be part of the forum include: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, and Reps. Joyce Beatty, Yvette Clarke, Rubin Hinojosa, Steve Israel, Robin Kelly and Charlie Rangel.
