Remember all the drama and posing for pictures by Reps. Michelle Bachmann and others over the World War II Memorail being closed during the government shutdown last September? Will Bachmann protest again after what happened in the U.S. Senate today?

Today, Senate Republicans blocked a Democratic bill that would have boosted health, education and job-training programs for 22 million veterans in the U.S.  The legislation would have allowed vets to have given in-state college tuition rates to vets among many other things.

Though 56 members of the Senate voted in favor to keep the bill alive, 41 voted to kill it.  The legislation needed 60 votes to move forward but Republicans filibustered the bill.
