DREAMer Sofia Campos cut from lineup of #MOW50

Sofia Campos United We Dream

DREAMer Sofia Campos of United We Dream was cut from Wednesday’s March on Washington program. The undocumented young woman has been critical of the criminalization of immigrants.

Campos came from Peru as a child and is headed to MIT for graduate school. She was invited to speak at Wednesday’s event in Washington, D.C.

In her full speech delivered on youtube, she tells President Obama that he must stop the mass deportations and militarization of the southern border. The Obama administration has set records for deportations.

Wednesday’s event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington featured Presidents Carter, Clinton, and Obama in addition to a variety of leaders from civil rights organizations and unions.
