Former deputy SBA Administrator Marie Johns has become a policy strategist for the U.S. Black Chambers. The U.S. Black Chambers is based in Washington DC. Johns served for the SBA for three years and is an expert on minority business and their development.
“I’ve watched the growth and development of USBC and the work they’ve been doing,” Johns told the Washington informer. “Their commitment to economic empowerment, particularly in underserved communities, is laudable and I want to continue to support USBC’s efforts.”
Johns has returned to consulting after leaving the Obama Administration and was also President of Verizon in Washington.
