What Makes This Person a Game Changer: Throughout her career, legal and policy expert Jacqueline Ayers has worked tirelessly advocating, shaping policy, and managing campaigns and outreach efforts to combat issues affecting women and children. Some of her accomplishments include educating and campaigning to fight childhood obesity and forming a position on the re-authorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act at the National Urban League, as well as expanding Medicaid and strengthening the health care delivery system for more than 850 Planned Parenthood centers across the nation. Prior to her careers at the National Urban League and Planned Parenthood, she worked with Congressman Robert C. Scott and as the Associate Director for the Indiana American Civil Liberties Union. She is a mass communication and government graduate of Western Kentucky University, and she earned her juris doctorate from the Indiana School of Law. Ayers is also a dedicated board member for the WVSA School of Arts In Learning (SAIL) Public Charter School in Washington D.C.
