He is the Digital and Technology Commentator for HLN, CNN, Fuse, and NBC’s TODAY show. He has also been a guest on Dr. Oz, Katie Couric, Steve Harvey, Rachel Ray, PBS and C-Span.  In addition, Armstrong is a quarterly columnist for Black Enterprise and is a technology contributor for NPR’s Morning Edition and Tell Me More programs. Prior to his current roles, Armstrong served as Baltimore, Maryland’s first Chief of Technology under then-Mayor Martin O’Malley. In addition to sharing his technology expertise across various media platforms, Armstrong co-founded the Urban Video Game Academy, a nonprofit organization aimed at increasing students’ interest and engagement in STEM fields through the use of video games.
