Rihanna and Chris Brown: Psychotherapist Analyzes Courtside Interplay

chris-brown1

“Chris Brown and Rihanna in many ways look about as typical as a couple can look.  Matter of fact, it’s how a lot of couples look after a few years of being together.  In this picture though it goes beyond that.  Here they look comfortably uncomfortable with each other,” said heavyweight Manhattan psychotherapist Jonathan Alpert

Alpert took a few minutes off from a busy schedule, which at times includes the Today Show and a weekly column, to analyze the courtside body language of singers Chris Brown and Rihanna.  The young noteworthy couple has had their share of well documented difficulty.  However, lately they have been spotted out and about. Rihanna and Brown were spotted court side at a Lakers game on Christmas.

”A lot of times couples just get used to each other and tolerate the other person.   This might very well be the case here with Chris Brown and Rihanna.  Furthermore, he is entirely focused on the game and she isn’t at all.  She seems so disconnected from the game that she is falling asleep and he seems okay with that,” said Alpert, whose penthouse office enjoys a view of the Empire State Building.

Alpert is known for delivering frank yet helpful advice and is the author of the book BE FEARLESS: Change Your Life in 28 Days, published by Center Street/Hachette in 2012.

  5. Lauren, Rihannna is from the Carribean. I took a Carribean Queen to an NBA game. Basketball wasn’t a big sport on her island, and she had no interest in the game, initially. She did have an interest in me, and she enjoyed being with me at the game. The game had had a close exciting finish, and she got caught up in the excitement. Hard not to be with 15,000 cheering fans around you.

  6. Jonathan as a fellow professional in the same field, you are an embarassment to the profession with your analysis. Are you trying to gain notoriety?
