Netflix Suffers Christmas Outage, Apologizes to 20 Million Customers

Netflix’s movie streaming service went down on Christmas Eve, saying the outage was caused by “some of Amazon’s cloud infrastructure.”  The company said it was working with Amazon to fix their service.

The video streaming service would probably have been what many families would have turned to for entertainment on a Christmas Eve and Christmas day.  Netflix has over 20 million subscribers and informed customers that the outage stretched “across the Americas.”
