Sandy Hook Elementary Massacre is 7th major shooting incident in the U.S. in 2012.  Listed below are the others.

April 2, 2012 - A gunman shoots ten people killing seven in a shooting rampage at Oikos University, a Christian college in Oakland, Calif.

July 20, 2012 - James Holmes shoots 70 people, killing 12, during a massacre on at a movie theater opening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colo.

August 5, 2012 - A gunman, Wade Page, kills six people during Sunday services at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisc., before he is shot dead by a police officer.

August 24, 2012 - Ten people are shot, 2 killed, by disgruntled former employee Jeffrey Johnson in a shooting outside the Empire State Building in New York City.

September 27, 2012 - A disgruntled former employee killed five people and then commits suicide after a shooting rampage at a Minneapolis sign company.

October 21, 2012 – Three people were killed at a spa near Milwaukee when Radcliffe Haughton opened fire.  Those killed included his wife. Haughton  killed himself.

December 14, 2012 – A shooter, reportedly Adam Lanza, opens fire at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, killing at least 27 people including 18 children.

  6. It’s really stupid because people are killing everywhere although not all of them are on the news. It’s sad how people think killing is cool or neccessary. Will not be surprising if human extinction comes one day.

  7. When are the Americans going to improve their gun laws how many more innocents have to murdered at another ones hands before serious action is taken
