What Makes The Person A Game Changer: Gregorio A. Francis was born in the Panama Canal Zone, Republic of Panama and raised in Orlando, Florida. Gregorio earned his bachelor’s degree and juris doctor degree from the University of Florida. While in law school, Gregorio was a Virgil Hawkins Fellow, received writing and oral honors in Appellate Advocacy, and was inducted into the prestigious Florida Blue Key Leadership Honorary. He began his legal career as an associate with a Florida defense firm specializing in medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, and municipal defense. He was later elevated to partner of the firm, responsible for managing four associates and a caseload of 50 cases. In 2001, Gregorio joined the law firm of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. as a partner, where he focused on medical malpractice matters, police misconduct, wrongful death and catastrophic personal injuries. In 2004, he was asked by famed trial attorney Johnnie Cochran to join his national law firm as a partner, and from 2004-2006 he served as the co-managing partner of the Miami office of the Cochran firm. In 2006, Gregorio became a shareholder of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in their Orlando office. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he is a board member of the Nehemiah Educational and Economic Development Board, 100 Black Men of America-Orlando Chapter, and Chairman of the Lake Apopka Investigatory Commission. He also serves as General Counsel for the Connectional Lay Ministry of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he provides legal advice and counsel to their three million non-ministerial members.
