What Makes The Person A Game Changer: Nina Vaca currently serves CEO of Pinnacle Technical Resources, an information technology services provider to the Fortune 500 she founded in 1996. Nina immigrated to Los Angeles from Ecuador with family at a young age. At an early age, she often helped out with the family business, and when her father was shot and killed during a robbery at one of his offices, she and her sister took over his business. Nina earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and Business Administration from Texas State University, and has been named the youngest Distinguished Alumna in university history. Nina worked at Computer Development Services, Inc. in Dallas before founding Pinnacle in 1996. Under her leadership, Pinnacle has become the fifth fastest growing firm in a $20 billion dollar industry, and now has revenues of 200 million which includes 3,000 consultants across the United States and Canada. In 2005, she appeared in Fast Company Magazine as one of the “Top 25 Women Business Builders” in the country. She is a recipient of the coveted Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for Technology and Communications for the Southwest Region, and, in 2010, was named one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics in America” by Latino Leaders Magazine. In addition, Nina is a Director with Comerica, Inc., Kohl’s Corporation, and the incoming Chairman of the Board of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
