New Poll Shows Allen West Down 9 Points to Patrick Murphy

murphy-West

Though freshman Tea Party Rep. Allen West (R-FL) released a poll last week showing he was ahead of challenger Patrick Murphy, a new poll has heads turning.

“According to a poll taken for the Democratic group House Majority PAC by Garin-Hart-Yang Research, Allen West is trailing challenger Patrick Murphy 52 percent to 43 percent,” reports the New Times of Broward Palm Beach.

Politico reports, “There’s reason to take the House Majority PAC poll seriously. Not only is it taken by a gold-plated Democratic pollster, it’s also weighted significantly in the GOP direction. The poll sample was composed of 44 percent Republicans and 37 percent Democrats — a stronger GOP lean than the actual congressional district.”

Is West in trouble? Last Friday, West’s campaign released a blistering new attack ad on Murphy featuring a mug shot from an arrest after a bar fight when he was a teenager.  Political observers called it one of the toughest ads so far this election cycle.

  2. I’d rather be ejected for a bar fight than be West on ANY day. From my research, he is a complete Assclown and unworthy of both the uniform he wore and the position he is a bout to lose (thank GOD). Like Bachmann, West, and the rest of the Seditious Ten, they are going this year where they belong…home…forever. And it looks like Ryan and Cantor may be out also. And of course Romney will slink home in 3 weeks to piss and moan while thinking he can try for a third time to become POTUS. What is it they say…doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome is insanity.

God, I am REALLY starting to like 2012.
