#VoteReady: CBCI, SEIU to Hold Voter Protection Event Tonight in Florida

Today and tomorrow, the Congressional Black Caucus Institute (CBCI) in partnership with SEIU will host its “Vote Ready” voter protection event in Jacksonville, Florida featuring the Honorable Corrine Brown (FL-09), Mayor Alvin Brown, Michael Eric Dyson and Marcia Dyson along with other prominent national and community leaders and entertainers.

Participants will learn about Florida’s voting rights laws, confirm their voter registration status and hear from elected officials on the importance of voting in the upcoming election.

All those who wish to be admitted must show proof of voter registration at the door. Those who are not yet registered to vote may register at the door and be admitted free of charge.
