Sarah Who? Utah Republican Mayor Mia Love will speak on Tuesday, August 28th in prime-time at the Republican National Convention. A second Black Republican, former Congressman Artur Davis, will also speak at the convention next week.
Love is challenging Blue Dog Democratic Rep. Jim Matheson (D-UT) for a seat in Congress. Love beat out two challengers in an April primary. Just last week, GOP bigwigs including, John McCain and Condi Rice, traveled to Utah to fundraise for Love.
Love told the Salt Lake Tribune what her speech would touch on. “I want to convey is that Barack Obama has accelerated this country into a downward spiral and that the only way there’s any hope of getting out of this is electing Mitt Romney. I’m hoping everyone is inspired and ready to go out and do whatever they can to help Mitt Romney and [running mate] Paul Ryan get elected.”
The speaking time in prime-time is impressive since the three major networks will only cover one hour of the convention every night. Several notables will not speak at the convention including Sarah Palin.

Another sell out.
