Sheriff Babeu’s Latino Lover Reveals Inconvenient Truth

When anti-immigrant leaders talk about immigration, they often act as though the “undocumented” population live separate and apart from American citizens. They deny that undocumented labor buoys the American economy – and the worst culprits conflate hard working mothers and fathers with corrupt criminal elements. But every now and then, we are reminded that behind every great anti-immigrant advocate, there is a great immigrant.

We’re accustomed to undocumented immigrants playing the role of dumped employee. While running for Governor of California in 2010, Meg Whitman came out in support of SB 1070 and voiced her opposition to a pathway to legalization, but then admitted that her own housekeeper of nine years, Nicky Diaz, was in the United States without papers.

Mitt Romney calls the DREAM Act a “hand out” and talks tough about the border, but for a year his lawn was manicured by the hands of undocumented immigrants.

Last week we got something new: our first immigrant-jilted lover. News reports forced America’s Second Toughest anti-immigrant Sheriff (and congressional candidate) Paul Babeu to publicly admit that he is gay and had a Mexican lover. There’s no real scandal there. In fact, Babeau’s swift handling of the revelations was downright impressive (Herman Cain take note). The real issue is that Babeu’s ex-boyfriend, Jose, claims that Babeau threatened him with deportation if he refused to keep their years-long relationship confidential.

If Jose’s claims are true, then the Babeu story is like a layer cake of hypocrisy: the same man who starred in Senator John McCain’s 2010 “Complete the Dang Fence” ad either had a multi-year relationship with someone he knew was undocumented or on the brink of being undocumented and warned him to protect himself, or he used his position of power to intimidate an immigrant.

Since 2010, Babeu has been busy building a national platform for himself by fanning the flames of border hysteria despite having zero miles of border under his jurisdiction. While Babeau keeps his anti-immigrant rhetoric to a minimum, he supports Arizona’s SB 1070, “papers, please” legislation which conflates average, every day hard working immigrants with criminal elements. We now know how intimately Babeu actually knows the difference between the two.

With the undocumented we turn a blind eye, sometimes mercifully to allow them to stay and to keep their secret safe, other times to ignore the inconvenient reality that we need their labor and their energy to keep America humming along. Some immigrant rights advocates bristle at the term “undocumented” because it makes it sound as if there is no record of their life, of their being. It is to pretend as we so often do when we talk about these “the undocumented” that they are an Other. Immigrants like Nicky Diaz and Jose remind us that no matter how hard certain forces struggle to keep the lives of “undocumented” undocumented, there is no escaping their presence.

but if the Mexican lover is lying then it's not hypocrisy. When someone makes an accusation i put on the accuser to prove it happened not the accused to proved it didn't

Americans are sitting ducks to keep paying more taxes for foreign national, having entered this country illegally. It seems like citizenship has lost its value in the eyes of policy makers as it seems illegal aliens have more rights than citizens? Under Obama's rule, the Democrats lead by the far left, would overhaul our election system so foreigners could vote. Even as I blog this, there is ample evidence of voter fraud throughout this nation. But the fed's do not seem to care and have ascertained it as minimal. foreigners are allowed to demonstrate in our streets, with no appearance of ICE agents. The poor from other countries keep on coming by plane or our fiasco of a closed border intrusion. Send the troops back from IRAN a job and deploy them throughout the border region, to stop these incursions of gun and drug peddlers, human trafficking and as we know now murderers from the Middle East?

Give all the pro-illegal immigrants politicians the boot, and add pariah governors, Mayors, and the followers of this sickening agenda. If we just sit back any longer our country will be lost in 2012, as will be paying even larger taxes for illegal aliens added in ObamaCare, as even more millions who will quickly respond to this socialized medicine epidemic. Not only will some loophole be open for foreigners to slip through, but we will also be paying for our own worthless crowds, who have no intention of filling a job; who are already living of welfare and public assistance. The American people's only chance of defeating President Obama and throwing out the surrounding Ultra Liberal Czars is to join the Tea Party. The Tea Party is the only chance we have of returning to the writings of our founding fathers in the US Constitution. This administration has thrown it into the mud and trampled on its laws.

DOES NOT MATTER YOUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN, IF YOU CAME HERE INTENTIONALLY ILLEGALLY AS MANY TOURIST DO OR CROSSED A BORDER, WITHOUT PAPERS YOU WILL HAVE TO EVENTUALLY SELF-DEPORT. AS E-VERIFY IS FULLY ENFORCED BY MANDATORY CONGRESSIONAL LAW FOR ALL 50 STATES, THEN WHETHER YOUR WHITE, BLACK OR ANY OTHER COLOR YOU WILL BE DETAINED AND REMOVED BY FORCE. WE MUST stop this travesty of our laws, which is sucking the dollars from us to pamper illegal aliens for votes? They do vote and will again? Don't forget to call your Senator or Representative at 202-224-3121. Don't forget to give your state incumbent lawmakers a challenge of NO RE-ELECTION VOTE, if they are anti-Sovereignty? We are a caring people, but Americans must come first and any lawmaker who represents the illegal immigrant, must be kicked out of office. This is not mean-spirited; this is survival of our nation, our flag and our language. American jobs for American people. Alicia, why do you hate gays? I have long been under the impression that liberals and Democratic supporters are pro-gay, but you seem to have no problem digging in on a homosexual with groundless rumors and accusations.

Mind you, If I missed the proof you, or the ex-boyfriend Jose presented, please, please, please point it out. I would absolutely love to see it. In the mean time, you are just another homophobe digging in by repeating slanderous accusations against a proud gay man. Its disgusting.
