Pew: A Very Brown Future in Labor
Hispanics are likely to account for 74 percent of the growth in the U.S. labor force over the next eight years, according to projections from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
A new report by the Pew Hispanic Center examines the various factors that contribute to these workforce projections. Per the report, the population of the US-Hispanic community continues to grow due to both immigration and birth rates. At the same time, the non-Hispanic white population is aging, thus reducing its representation in the labor force.
