Smooth Move, Mr. President
McAllister’s Weekend Remix
Politic365 Sr. Contributor Lenny McAllister discusses the president’s Friday the 13th political announcement concerning the streamlining of government, particularly how this move makes hardcore conservatives weary of him – and of moderate Mitt Romney – as we move into 2012.
“Smooth move, Mr. President.  Real smooth.  Smaller, more efficient government that both sides can agree with,” says McAllister.  “This would have been a defining moment for President Obama if, say, it had happened in 2009 – rather than chasing down Obamacare, demonizing the Tea Party, frustrating Israel and delaying a recovery for the American people not just Wall Street.  It’s political highway robbery to snatch the heart of the political argument away from the Republicans just in time for the 2012 elections.”
“This Friday the 13th announcement plays right into the fears of the conservative movement.”
