New Healthcare Website As Explained by President Obama

Who needs a Robert Gibbs (I had to Google him too) when our nation’s [Tech] POTUS is more than willing to do a hands-on review of the new healthcare.gov site that outlines the benefits of the Health Care Reform Law (it’s not a Bill anymore) that was passed earlier this year. Tensions are still high and most public opinion is still mixed on the issue of gov’t-run health care, so it makes sense for the White House to develop a site that gives people something tangible that they can refer to that will at the very least, educate the public about the government’s plans behind the new law.

In the video, Mr. President goes over how a visitor to the healthcare.gov site can learn about the facts behind Health Care Reform and view all health care options and resources per the visitor’s geographical location. Additionally, visitors can shop & compare insurance companies and benefits to find and make the best health care choices.

As the President outlines in the video, the idea behind healthcare.gov is to give consumers one site where they can look up and research healthcare companies, break down and examine specific health care needs regardless of your current health status, and get additional news, information, and resources that will ultimately give you control over your health.
