Fresh off the heels of her VH1 reality show Fantasia For Real, Grammy-nominated singer Fantasia will be headlining this year’s National Urban League Benefit Concert along with soul legend Ron Isley. The event, which has featured stars such as En Vogue, Chaka Khan, Jeffrey Osborne and Frankie Beverly and Maze in the past, will be a part of the National Urban League’s Centennial Conference.

Since winning American Idol in 2004, Fantasia has achieved multi-faceted success. She’s produced two award-winning albums and also garnered rave reviews starring as Celie in the Broadway adaptation of The Color Purple. She recently premiered the video for her latest single “Bittersweet” on BET’s 106 & Park. Her upcoming album, Back to Me, will be released by J Records on August 10th.

With his group The Isley Brothers, Ron Isley has been a part of the music business for over fifty years. His most recent recording efforts were his 2003 solo album entitled Here I Am and the Isley Brother’s album Baby Makin’ Music in 2006.

The concert will take place at 8:30pm Friday, July 30th at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre. Tickets for the event can be purchased with registration for the conference. For information about registration visit the conference’s website or text CONF to 69866 to receive updates.
